Our students receive private music instruction, instruments for home practice, field trips for them and their families, and opportunities to perform on our concert series. Our concert series present a platform for students, up and coming artists and accomplished musicians to perform alongside one another. This year, we began partnering with Carnegie Hall and the DOE to show how music affects education. Our concerts, recitals, and outings are performed in venues like New Gotham, Atlas, Nicole, Caffe Vivaldi, the Cutting Room, Blue Man Group. In addition, funds will help with the launching of a website, www.instrumentmatch.org. This will enable people to donate instruments, and help simplify the matching process. With other music education programs cutting back, it will also provide a platform to match teachers and students.
