Permits for job filings with "Structural (ST), Foundation (FO), Earthwork (EA) and Support of Excavation (SE)" work types includes concrete information that includes "concrete subcontractor" if work includes 2, 000 cubic yards or more of concrete and is not done by permitted contractor. There are already DOB data sets for specific work types (i.e. Elevator, Electrical). This is definitely needed for concrete subcontractors especially since this information is not available when searching by the public portal.

Request a new dataset containing all temporary paper signage posted by the DOT (and/or DOT subcontractor) indicating a temporary change to street signage. These signs are typically taped to lampposts, fences, trees, hydrants, etc. that indicate a temporary change to support milling, paving, crosswalk / parking spot marking, and other work typically requiring vehicles to be moved beforehand and display the NYC DOT logo. eg. NO PARKING date(s), time(s),... Roadway Milling. In addition to all the pertinent information regarding the temporary change, the dataset must contain an image of the paper signage with date and time stamp when posted.

Thank you for your request on temporary paper signage data. All street construction work require a Street Construction Permit issued by the NYC Department of Transportation. Any work that requires temporary signage is a stipulation issued with the permit. Images does not meet the open data format. Some signs temporary signage are placed by NYPD for street events.

Request a new dataset containing ALL violation responses submitted on nyc.gov/disputeticket. The dataset must include all "valid" and "invalid" violation numbers, as submitted, as part of a response, without modification. Specifically, "valid" being the 10-digit violation number used by the NYC Department of Finance to track violations and "invalid" being the 10-digit violation number with a dash between the 9th and 10th digit, as it appears on The City of New York Notice of Parking Violation aka, parking ticket. The dataset must also include any information regarding modifications to any data as entered on the website, the disposition of the violation entered, and the date and time of any modification / disposition, made by the Department Of Finance to / on every response submitted by the end user via the nyc.gov/disputeticket website. 
 
Dataset need background: The City of New York Notice of Parking Violation aka "ticket" (placed on the windshield of vehicles alleged of a violation) has a 10 digit number with a dash between the 9th and 10th digit. The New York City Department of Finance parking violations system seems to use a 10-digit violation number without the dash. This discrepancy results in "Notices of Impending Default Judgment" being issued to vehicle owners, with penalties and interest for not responding to a violation (with the 10-digit number without the dash) even though the vehicle owner submitted a response using a dash in the 10-digit violation number. Furthermore, violation responses submitted on nyc.gov/disputeticket with a 10-digit violation number with a dash (or submitted within minutes of when a violation is issued by the Traffic Agency) seem to be deleted from the DOF system making it impossible to prove to a Traffic Court Judge that the vehicle owner's response to an alleged violation was made online in a timely fashion. The primary use of this new dataset will allow one to estimate the number of individuals that have not been able to adequately dispute a ticket and estimate how much revenue is generated in fines, penalties and interest because of the 10-digit violation number w/ or w/o a dash discrepancy.

First, you can access the universe of all buildings in NYC by accessing the Department of City Planning (DCP)'s PLUTO dataset on NYC Open Data. This dataset will provide you with an identifier (BBL) you can merge with the data HPD has on owners as well as the count of the number of total units (UnitsTotal) and count of the number of residential units (UnitsRes). The PLUTO dataset has tax lot owner information (OwnerName), but we cannot speak to how that data point is populated.

Then you combine the HPD Multiple Dwelling Registrations and Registration Contacts open datasets RegistrationID to connect the ownership and building information data. The Multiple Dwelling Registrations dataset has the Boro, Block, and Lot that you can combine to create the BBL that will connect these data to PLUTO. The Registration Contacts dataset has building ownership information.
 
Please note that it is challenging to have a comprehensive list of owners, as properties are registered under different LLCs.

For my graduate project I am looking make an analysis of all the different accessible features in NYC facilities and also creating a NYC map with these. I see the map in https://www.nycgovparks.org/facilities/playgrounds?boro=bronx contains and allows the user to filter playgrounds that are wheelchair accessible, ADA accessible public restrooms and inclusive play elements playground. I was wondering is there any way I could get access to a dataset that contains many of these different accessible features in NYC facilities with their respective information like the addresses and coordinates of each facility?

The Department of City Planning (DCP) publishes the NYC Facilities Database in several formats. That is the official facilities dataset for NYC but unfortunately, it does not have any details on accessibility. You should reach directly out to NYC Parks & Recreation Dept. if you would like access to the data you provided in the link in your email. 
You may want to reach out to the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities for more information or possible leads for accessibility data. I will also recommend searching the NYC open data portal if you have not already. You could also try third part sites like Open Streets Map.

Hi!
I was wondering if the schedule of upcoming Parks public programming can be made available and on a timely basis.
Specifically I had in mind the Urban Park Rangers, but I know there's more programs within recreation centers also, and maybe other related groups (forestry).
By timely basis, I just mean whenever the schedules are finalized (maybe quarterly and/or automated).
I see right now the existing datasets might be not updated frequently, or are records of past events, not upcoming ones.

I'm trying to see the areas Parks services with more unique and fulfilling programming, and maybe visualize it differently than how the Parks website does. I think this data being available via API could allow implementation in other sites where news could spread about them quicker, encouraging involvement in these meaningful programs.

Department of Buildings (DOB)

Hello, a lot of people around New York City are receiving letters from the department of buildings regarding compliance with local law 152. I would like to know if it is possible to have the dataset with the addresses that are due for local law 152 by community district so I can help market to them easier. If this data set exists or something like it, it would be helpful if I was pointed towards it. Thank you.

There currently is not a data set on the Open Data portal identifying properties subject to Local Law 152. Further, users of the portal data could not create this list by blending various data sets on the portal without an understanding of complex logic and methodology which triggers eligibility under the law. The NYC Dept. of Buildings is currently investigating whether or not a list of Local Law 152 eligible properties will be provided publicly.

I'm looking for the Dining Out program applications. I see the historic data from the Open Restaurants program, but was hoping we could get the applications for the new program. I know that it's a new program (seems like the deadline to apply to the permanent program was last week?), but would be great to learn about who is applying, despite the fact that most applications will not be reviewed yet!

Department for the Aging (NYC Aging)

I see the 2020 data for LL2018/140 on Open Data, which is awesome (love that it includes the dftaid for easy merging), but was wondering if there were updated versions for 2021, 2022, and 2023. I'm most interested in 2023!

Would you be able to point me towards it if the data has been absorbed under another name I might be missing? If not, I would love to see the updated versions on Open Data.

We’re currently working with the Open Data team to provide combined LL 140 datasets with FY 2020-2023 data, but the LL 140 information from FY 2023 can be found in the “Reports” section of the NYC Aging website in the interim (please see link below).

It appears from the RFPs that workforce development programs are collecting "electronic files of client information, service utilization, and outcomes for each client served. Contractors will be required to track clients’ participation in program services", so client level information would be ideal to understand if people are returning to programs, and what that transaction between agency and client look like.

We provide monthly data on the number of HRA Assisted Entries into Employment, as well as 3-month and 6-month retention rates in our HRA Facts Programs and Services report.

I am looking for a data set that can help me understand the age of buildings. A raw data set would be great but I'm looking to understand the relative mix of building ages in each borough. ex. the bornks has x number of residential buildings built before 1940, x in1950, x in 1960 and so on.

An exhaustive list of all buildings and their erection date is not a part of the NYC Dept. of Buildings data sets on the portal. The DOB NOW Approved Job Applications can be used to view the new building job filings that have reached completed (LOC issued status), and the corresponding dates. The same could be done with the job filings data that correspond to our BIS system. Those would provide a date of when a building could be considered erected, though not exhaustive of all buildings ever constructed.
