Q44 1
The P186x arts program utilizes the NYCDOE Blueprint for the arts curriculum framework. Our students engage in project-based learning activities in the visual arts, as well as cooperative team activities in the movement and theater arts. During the 2016/2017 school year P186X integrated dance and movement into the curriculum by creating a dance/movement position for our Alternate Assessment students. In the 2017/2018 school year, the school plans to develop and schedule an "Advanced Art" class for those identified 8th grade students whose goal is to apply to an "art specialized" High School and future careers in a general education setting.
