Overview Paragraph
We follow the EL Education model, in which students engage in learning expeditions and have multiple opportunities for hands-on learning. Students participate in fieldwork experiences with civic leaders, industry figures, and environmental scientists who take them outside of the classroom and give them a chance to experience the concepts they are learning. Students receive a strong background in science, technology, and sustainability and have many opportunities to apply the ideas learned in class to real-world after-school projects.
Academicopportunities1
Crew: Crew is a small advisory group of no more than 16 students, which focuses on community, academics, and college.
Academicopportunities2
Project-based learning: students engage in relevant learning and projects connected to the real world, not based in textbooks.
Academicopportunities3
Fieldwork -students take part in experiences outside the school building that are connected to their classroom learning.
Academicopportunities4
Student-led conferences -instead of traditional parent-teacher conferences, students reflect on and present their learning to parents and teachers.
Academicopportunities5
Travel Abroad/Cultural Exchange Program -students have opportunities to take educational and service trips to other countries.

Overview Paragraph
Our school provides a challenging and innovative education focused on math, science, and the integration of technology into all subject areas. Our classes feature inquiry- and project-based curricula and the use of remote response systems. Our non-traditional physical education classes expose students to new experiences that they otherwise might never have. Our students are grouped into four Houses which are divided into smaller advisory groups led by a faculty member. Although classes change, students remain with their House structure and House advisors until graduation. Our students graduate with the knowledge of math, science, and technology applications they need in order to succeed in today's digital society.

This interdisciplinary program allows students to study the legal and scientific aspects of forensics. Students engage in hands-on lab skills, such as fingerprinting, handwriting, and blood splatter analysis. Students explore how this scientific evidence can be used by the justice system, participating in moot court competitions and mock trial experiences. Many students in the Criminalistics and Forensics Institute go on to study at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and other top schools.

Overview Paragraph
Bronx Collaborative students are academic detectives, bringing New York City's unique resources and rich history into the classroom to investigate and solve real-world challenges. Teachers connect students with community leaders, organizations, and professionals to collaborate on exciting projects. These real-world teamwork experiences offer students feedback that prepares them for success in college and careers. Teachers and counselors know our families, recognize students' talents, and support their needs from the first day of school to graduation. We prepare students for success after high school with special attention to preparing for four-year colleges. Restorative practices and social justice are key features of the school activities.

Overview Paragraph
Our school provides a small, academically-challenging learning community, in partnership with NYC Outward Bound Schools and EL Education, that prepares students for college success and beyond. Our community is supported by problem-solving strategies to build perseverance, develop student character and respect for excellence in scholarship, and to energize student creativity. Our students give back to our city through multiple community service opportunities, including an annual Day of Service. They dive deeply into unique elective topics during Intensives Week. Overview Paragraph
Harvest Collegiate High School offers a rich and challenging intellectual education that engages students in the natural process of experience, questioning, the pursuit of precision, and reflection - the way people really learn. We believe in cultivating students' power to produce and reflect, rather than simply consume, as a fundamental way of being in the world. We aspire to being and contributing creatively to a 'sane society,' one of peace, growth, and joy. We believe all young people flourish in conditions that challenge and support. We prepare students for success in college and for participatory leadership that promotes values of active responsibility for mankind and our world.

Overview Paragraph
We offer students the opportunity to earn a Regents diploma with an arts endorsement by adopting the model of a theater company. Our students stage plays, musicals, and their own original works to explore the universal themes of the human experience and acquire skills and knowledge to meet the learning standards outlined by the NY State Board of Regents. We utilize project-based learning and engage students as artists-at-work. Our program provides the college and career readiness skills for students to succeed in a post-secondary setting. Teaching artists work with teachers to create an ensemble for students to work together, learn together, and become strong contributors to society.

Prgdesc1
We are a college preparatory high school that believes a student's best preparation for college is a rigorous high school curriculum with four years of rich math and science instruction. Students are programmed with the expectation of obtaining an Advanced Regents diploma, and are encouraged to take AP courses. All students prepare for SATs through a rigorous self-study program with the goal of 100% of the student body attending four-year colleges after graduation.
