Emergency catch basin repair contract notably performing work for Parks at Shore Blvd, a road of Astoria Park which has a major flooding condition that has drawn the attention of Councilman Constantinides. Flooding is caused by the catch basin outfall to East River being so low that high tide obstructs the system. ZDG is the contractor performing the work for the new waterfront esplanade at 416-420 Kent Avenue. A permit is required to perform work on the current waterfront access located on Schaefer Landing that connects to the new Waterfront Public Access Area. The current access walkway is 6’ short of the adjoining property line of the site at 420 Kent Avenue. ZDG will connect the public access area to the end point of the walkway at Schaeffer Landing. They will also remove the barrier fence to eliminate safety concerns, install a curb to indicate the property line of each parcel and landscape enhancements on Parks property.
