Construction Permit Special Conditions
i. New Fence at Pier 2: Following removal of the abandoned Pier 2, and prior to the substantial completion of work under this permit, Permittee will furnish and install new railing to match existing rail, safely and aesthetically closing access to the former pier. (Attachment B shows existing condition and existing rail detail; further construction detail may be available from Parks)
ii. Coordination of work with Marina Operations
a) To minimize disruption to marina operations, Permittee is reminded of scheduling obligations laid out on Drawing DRG-FB-C1-28, particularly restricting dates and timing of work in Areas II and III (Appendix E).
b) Parks and DEP have coordinated extensively on the design and scheduling of the permitted work, and expect to continue to coordinate with Permittee, through the DEP engineer, as has been occurring.
iii. Documentation and Report of In-Water Removals: Permittee will track and provide to Parks a report, appropriate documentation, of the following operations completed:
a) Volume of pilings removed (number of pilings with each piling’s length and diameter)
b) Volume and square footage of walkway removed
c) Volume of submerged docks, barges, and vessels removed
iv. Stockpile Prohibited: No stockpile of materials on land has been requested, nor is permitted, under this agreement.
v. Coordination with Park events
a) There can be no deliveries or construction activities on land from August 15, 2017 through September 16, 2017.
b) There can be no deliveries or construction activities on land during Mets home games.
c) NYC Parks reserves the right to add additional blackout dates as necessary.
